Is Business Central enough for manufacturing?
For many discrete manufacturers and assemblers, yes. Very complex process manufacturing or advanced scheduling may need a specialist add-on, which we will identify during discovery.
Assembly or manufacturing — which do we need?
Assembly suits kitting and simple build-to-order without routings. Manufacturing adds production orders, routings, capacity and multi-level planning. We recommend based on your process, not the licence.
Can operators record production without a full licence?
We can provide simple data-capture apps or integrations for shop-floor users. Licensing options depend on how they interact with Business Central and are confirmed during design.
How do you get our BOMs into shape?
We audit existing BOMs with your engineering team, fix structure and units of measure, and load them with versioning so future changes are controlled.
Can we see the real cost of each product?
Yes, once consumption and output are posted against production orders. Business Central then compares expected and actual cost, and variances show where material usage, scrap or labour differ from the standard you set.
